James J. Juneau
PROFILE
Jim Juneau, joined Gilbert Mediation Group as a full-time mediator in July, 2008, after completing more than 25 years of a successful civil trial practice representing both plaintiffs and defendants in a wide variety of catastrophic personal injury, products liability, professional malpractice, wrongful death, aviation and complex business tort cases. He is Board Certified in Personal Injury Trial Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization, and he has tried more than 75 cases in state and federal courts all across the State of Texas. Jim has been honored by induction into the Million-Dollar Advocates Forum, and he has been recognized as a "Texas Super Lawyer" in Texas Monthly and Law & Politics magazines.
In addition to his busy trial practice, Jim has had more than 20 years of experience serving as a professional arbitrator and mediator, on a selective basis, in more than 250 cases. He is a long-standing member of the American Arbitration Association’s Large and Complex Case panel of approved arbitrators, and has successfully mediated settlements in numerous complex tort and commercial cases involving allegations of products liability, medical malpractice, general negligence, premises liability, professional liability, dram shop liability, insurance coverage and bad faith, employment discrimination and harassment, partnership dissolution, business torts and commercial disputes.

Mr. Juneau was admitted to the State Bar of Texas in 1984, and is admitted to practice in all state and federal trial courts in Texas. He is also admitted to practice before the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit, and the United States Supreme Court.

Professional Activities:
Mr. Juneau is a frequent speaker at legal professional development seminars, and has authored several publications on a wide range of legal topics including police pursuit liability, alternative dispute resolution, federal removal and remand, federal jurisdiction, product design liability, and pre-suit investigation and strategy.
Mr. Juneau also serves as a Principal Member of the National Fire Protection Association Fire Apparatus Technical Committee, which develops and promulgates national design and safety standards for automotive fire apparatus manufactured and sold in the United States. He is a nationally recognized legal authority on issues relating to fire apparatus design and operational safety, and participates as a speaker in firefighter training and education programs across the United States. He serves as designated legal counsel to the Fire Apparatus Manufacturers’ Association and the Fire and Emergency Manufacturers and Services Association.
Community Involvement:
Mr. Juneau is an FAA licensed commercial and instrument pilot, and serves the community as an Angel Flight command pilot, voluntarily providing free air transportation to medical patients, and their families, when medical care is required in locations distant from the patient’s home. He also serves as a volunteer pilot with the Homeland Security Emergency Air Transportation System, providing emergency disaster-relief air transportation services.
Mr. Juneau is also a scuba diving instructor, rescue diver and technical diver certified by the Professional Association of Diving Instructors and by the International Association of Nitrox and Technical Divers.
